How We Will Communicate
I want to walk you through the best communication practices during your ACBC Phase 3 journey. Clear and consistent communication is vital for us to stay connected, ensure your progress, and make the most of this process together. Don’t worry, should you choose us to assist you in your Phase 3 journey, we will explain these things to you. Our goal for now is to provide an overview of the benefits and comprehensiveness of our training.
Stay Updated
To begin, you will want to subscribe to the following forums, which your membership will give you access to:
- Pro Tips for ACBC Phase 3 Candidates—This thread will keep you informed with important updates, practical advice, and tips tailored to this phase.
- Supporter Forum— A space where we can encourage one another as a community.
- Leaders Over Coffee Forum— For updates and interaction with me and others in this process.
- Daily Messages from Rick Thomas Forum— Stay connected to ongoing encouragement and insights.
- Subscribe to each of the other ACBC Phase 3 Candidates— This allows you to engage with your peers, build relationships, and learn from one another.
- The subscribe button is located at the upper right of each forum’s main page. Make sure to click it to receive notifications and stay up-to-date!
As you can see, there are many benefits with your training. We want to help you mature in your counseling skills, using all appropriate resources to assist.
Engage with the Community
While participation in the forums is not mandatory, I encourage you to engage with others. Your contributions—whether answering questions, offering insights, or encouraging others—help me observe your skills, counseling acumen, and overall wisdom. The more you interact, the better I can understand your abilities and areas for growth.
This aspect is also a great way to sharpen your skills, as helping others is a key part of becoming an effective biblical counselor. So, jump in and share what you’re learning!
Manage Communication Well
To help keep our team’s email inboxes manageable, we have a “Thanks” button at the bottom right of all forum posts to acknowledge that you’ve read them. This simple action notifies the author without generating unnecessary emails for our team and everyone else who has subscribed to the forum thread.
However, if you have a question or need clarification, feel free to contact us using your personal forum thread.
Use Your Personal Thread
Your personal forum thread will be your primary means of communication with me. Use it for:
- Questions or comments related to your CRFs or assignments.
- Updates on your progress.
- Sharing insights or reflections as you move through the process.
The only communication outside your personal thread should be to:
- Send PDIs, Case Report Forms, and audio files for the five recorded sessions.
- Set up your Zoom calls with me. You will contact Lucia at our support@lifeovercoffee email address.
- When in doubt, always default to your personal thread for communication.
