Let’s review the best practices for submitting your work during your Phase 3 journey. Organizing and tracking your submissions is essential, and these tips will help ensure the process goes smoothly.
Send your case reports one at a time after each session. You can submit CRFs through:
1: Email (preferred) to [email protected]
2: Dropbox
3: Google Drive
I recommend email because it allows me to access your submissions quickly. However, if Dropbox or Google Drive works better for you, that’s perfectly fine.
Your Case Report Forms (CRFs) should provide a clear and accurate representation of each session. While it’s important to use the form as your framework, focus on describing what happened clearly, even if that means stepping outside the structure of the form. This approach improves understanding of your case.
I have a separate video—in a succeeding lesson—to walk you through the CRFs in detail.
You only need to send the Personal Data Inventory (PDI) once for each counselee. Make sure it’s thorough and complete, as it lays the foundation for the rest of your case study.
How Many and When:
You’ll submit a total of five audio recordings over your 50 sessions. Space them out as follows:
That said, it’s okay to submit a recording earlier than Session 10. In fact, having two recordings in the first half (e.g., between Sessions 1–15) is even better, followed by one around Session 25 and the final two in the latter half (Sessions 35–50). The goal is to avoid clustering all your recordings at the beginning or end. Spacing them allows me to observe the progression and maturity of your counseling skills over time.
How to Send
1: Audio files are too large for email, so please submit them via Dropbox or Google Drive.
2: Ensure your counselees sign the Audio Recording Permission Form before recording.
After each counseling session, log your case report in your ACBC profile. This step helps you keep track of your 50 counseling sessions and ensures your progress is documented.
Final Encouragement
Submitting your work promptly and thoughtfully allows me to provide the most meaningful feedback. These steps are designed to help us maximize this time together as you grow in your counseling skills and confidence.
Let’s steward this process with excellence for the glory of God and the good of those you serve. You’re doing important work—stay faithful!
Peace,
Rick
