Mable, a 25-year-old solid Christian, comes from a strong Christian family and is active in her gospel-centered church. She has recently entered a relationship with Biff, a 29-year-old Christian who has been divorced for three years.

Biff became a believer 15 years ago but acknowledges that he hasn’t always lived faithfully. At 19, he married Marge, and they had one child together. Despite their shared faith, their marriage was riddled with struggles. Unable to work through their challenges, Biff left Marge and divorced her without biblical grounds.

Since the divorce, Marge has remarried, tying the knot with Bert. Over the last three years, Biff has repented of his sins and committed to walking with God in integrity and humility. His church affirms his character and involvement in ministry and has noticed evident spiritual growth.

Mable and Biff met a year ago, and their relationship quickly deepened. Mable is fully aware of Biff’s past, including his unbiblical divorce, but believes that his repentance is genuine. The couple now seeks premarital counseling, desiring biblical wisdom about marriage, divorce, and remarriage. They specifically ask for your position on their situation and guidance on how to move forward in a way that honors God.
