Anthropology – The Lord calls humans to be part of what He’s doing in the lives of others.

Compassion – Christian discipleship is not discipleship if you do it without tears.

Philosophy – A way of thinking about the core components of every discipleship context.
Exaltation of Christ – He is the centerpiece of all our discipleship endeavors. He’s the beginning and end. He’s the one we point others to so they have a clear goal for transformation.
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was’ in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:5-11
Centrality Of the Heart – If a person is going to experience long-term, sustainable change, the heart must be the starting point.
For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. – Luke 6:43-45
