Dr. Rhenn Cherry worked in the business world for 20 years prior to serving with his family for 5 years in Moscow, Russia, with the International Mission Board. He ministered as a pastor in Texas before working as Director of Finances and Donor Relations for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a master’s in business administration, a master’s in missiology, and a PhD in biblical counseling. He currently serves as an adjunct professor of biblical counseling at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the author of Enneagram Theology: Is It Christian?, Understanding EMDR: A Biblical Evaluation for Counselors, and The Enneagram and the Biblical Counselor. Rhenn and his wife, Terry, have been married for over 30 years and enjoy counseling together. They have a daughter, Carly, and a son, Jack.

His primary responsibilities are resource creation and leadership development, which he does through speaking, writing, podcasting, and educating.
In 1990 he earned a BA in Theology and, in 1991, a BS in Education. In 1993, he received his ordination into Christian ministry, and in 2000 he graduated with an MA in Counseling from The Master’s University. In 2006 he was recognized as a Fellow of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).
